What is the most important information I should know about Inderal?
• Do not stop taking Inderal without first talking to your doctor inderal asthma. Stoppingthe medication suddenly may result in angina (chest pain) and possibly a heartattack inderal asthma. The dosage may need to be reduced gradually before stopping inderal asthma.
• Call your doctor immediately if you experience shortness of breath inderal asthma.
• Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardousactivities inderal asthma. Inderal may cause dizziness or drowsiness inderal asthma. If you experience dizzinessor drowsiness, avoid these activities inderal asthma.
What is Inderal?
• Inderal is in a class of drugs called beta-blockers inderal asthma. Beta-blockers affectthe heart and circulatory system (arteries and veins) inderal asthma.
• Inderal is used to reduce hypertension (high blood pressure), to treatangina (chest pain), to treat irregular heartbeats, to treat migraines, to treattremor, and to reduce the risk of a recurrent heart attack inderal asthma.
• Inderal may also be used for purposes other than those listed in thismedication guide inderal asthma.
What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before taking Inderal?
• Do not take Inderal if you are taking thioridazine (Mellaril) inderal asthma. Takingthese medicines together could result in dangerous, even fatal, irregular heartbeats inderal asthma.
• Before taking Inderal, tell your doctor if you have
· asthma;
· heart problems such as low blood pressure, a slow heart rate, heartblock, sick sinus syndrome, a pacemaker, heart failure, or others;
· diabetes;
· depression;
· thyroid disease;
· kidney disease;
· liver disease; or
· any type of circulation problems inderal asthma.
• You may not be able to take Inderal, or you may require a dosage adjustmentor special monitoring during treatment if you have any of the conditions listedabove inderal asthma.
• Inderal is in the FDA pregnancy category C inderal asthma. This means it is not knownwhether Inderal will be harmful to an unborn baby inderal asthma. Do not take this medicationwithout first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant or could become pregnantduring treatment inderal asthma.
• Inderal passes into breast milk and may affect a nursing infant inderal asthma. Do nottake this medication without first talking to your doctor if you are breast-feedinga baby inderal asthma.
How should I take Inderal?
• Take Inderal exactly as directed by your doctor inderal asthma. If you do not understandthese directions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you inderal asthma.
• Take each dose with a full glass of water inderal asthma.
• Inderal can be taken with or without food inderal asthma. Each dose of InnoPran XL shouldbe taken in the same way, either with or without food inderal asthma.
• Take Inderal at the same time every day whenever possible inderal asthma. InnoPran XLshould be taken at bedtime (approximately 10 p.m.) inderal asthma.
• Do not crush, chew, break, or open the long-acting or extended-releasecapsules (Inderal LA, InnoPran XL) inderal asthma. Swallow them whole inderal asthma.

• Store Inderal at room temperature away from moisture and heat inderal asthma.
What happens if I miss a dose?
• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember inderal asthma. However, if it is almosttime for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take only the next regularlyscheduled dose inderal asthma. Do not take a double dose of this medication inderal asthma.
What happens if I overdose?
• Seek emergency medical attention inderal asthma.
• Symptoms of a Inderal overdose include a slow heartbeat, shortness ofbreath, fainting, dizziness, weakness, confusion, nausea, and vomiting inderal asthma.
What should I avoid while taking Inderal?
• Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardousactivities inderal asthma. Inderal may cause drowsiness, dizziness, and blood pressure changes inderal asthma. If you experience drowsiness or dizziness, avoid these activities inderal asthma.
• Use alcohol cautiously inderal asthma. Alcohol may increase drowsiness and dizzinesswhile taking this medication inderal asthma.
• Tell your doctor and dentist that you are taking this medication beforehaving surgery inderal asthma.
What are the possible side effects of Inderal?
• If you experience any of the following serious side effects, stop takingInderal and call your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical treatment:
· an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat;swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; hives);
· wheezing or shortness of breath;
· an unusually slow or irregular heart beat;
· swelling of the feet or lower legs;
· leg pain or cramping;
· sudden weight gain (more than 2 pounds in one day or 5 pounds in oneweek);
· chest (heart) pain;
· unusually cold or blue feet and hands; or
· skin rash inderal asthma.
• If you experience any of the following less serious side effects, continuetaking Inderal and talk to your doctor:
· fatigue or confusion;
· headache or dizziness;
· weak pulse or mildly slow heart rate;
· diarrhea, constipation, gas, nausea, or vomiting;
· depression;
· nightmares; or
· impotence (difficulty obtaining or maintaining an erection) inderal asthma.
• Side effects other than those listed here may also occur inderal asthma. Talk to yourdoctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome inderal asthma.
What other drugs will affect Inderal?
• Do not take Inderal if you are taking thioridazine (Mellaril) inderal asthma. Takingthese medicines together could result in dangerous, even fatal, irregular heartbeats inderal asthma.
• Before taking Inderal, tell your doctor if you are taking
· another heart medicine such as nifedipine (Procardia, Adalat), reserpine(Serpasil), verapamil (Calan, Verelan, Isoptin), diltiazem (Cardizem, DilacorXR), clonidine (Catapres), or digoxin (Lanoxin);
· a diabetes medication such as insulin, glyburide (Diabeta, Micronase,Glynase), glipizide (Glucotrol), chlorpropamide (Diabinese), or metformin (Glucotrol);
· a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) such as ibuprofen (Motrin,Advil, others), naproxen (Aleve, Anaprox, Naprosyn, others), or ketoprofen (Orudis,Orudis KT, Oruvail);
· a respiratory medication such as albuterol (Ventolin, Proventil, Volmax,others), bitolterol (Tornalate), metaproterenol (Alupent, Metaprel), pirbuterol(Maxair), terbutaline (Brethaire, Brethine, Bricanyl), or theophylline (Theo-Dur,Theochron, Theolair, others), and others;
· warfarin (Coumadin);
· haloperidol (Haldol); or
· a prescription or over-the-counter cough medication, cold medicine,or diet pill inderal asthma.
• You may not be able to take Inderal, or you may require a dosage adjustmentor special monitoring during treatment if you are taking any of the medicineslisted above inderal asthma.
• Drugs other than those listed here may also interact with Inderal oraffect your condition inderal asthma. Talk to your doctor and pharmacist before taking anyprescription or over-the-counter medicines, including herbal products inderal asthma.
